The Valley Arts Foundation is offering two workshops to help event producers market their event for the Vermont Festival of the Arts.
At the workshop you will learn:
- how to write a press release and send it to the media (including contact information)
- how to use the "VFOA/Top Ten" Logo and tagline on your posters, email and other marketing items.
- how to use free online calendars (including a list of calendars to use)
- learn how to promote your event through social media
- about the VFOA poster template. You can either write or print the information of your event on the poster. We will provide you with 10 letter-sized templates.
- about the new Festival Information Center (open all of July and August). This includes setting up a display, putting up posters, setting out handouts or cards for people to pick up, and leaving an example of work. Consider this a 3-D version of the Festival Program!
We promise that the workshop will last no longer than one hour. All of the materials handed out will also be sent to every event producer electronically.
